I am an AI researcher focused on building adaptive, interpretable systems at the intersection of machine learning, user modeling, and cognitive modeling.
While my recent work centers on education, I am broadly committed to human-centered and explainable AI, aiming for accurate, transparent models
that support trust in sensitive applications.
I am an incoming assistant professor at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) in Thailand.
Prior to joining AIT, I worked at AI Research Center, Université du Québec à Montréal, Montreal, Canada,
and École Polytechnique,
Institut Polytechnique de Paris, French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS)
and French Institute for Research in Computer Science and Automation (Inria) in France.
I received a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Université de Montréal in Canada.
I also spent time at several international institutions, including Singapore Management University in
Singapore, National Institute of Informatics in Japan, and Huaqiao University in
China.
I am looking for students with a strong background in computer science, machine learning, or related fields, and a passion for research to join HI+AI Lab at the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand,
an English-speaking, research-focused postgraduate institute located just 40 km from Bangkok.
AIT offers a peaceful, multicultural environment, low living costs, and a variety of scholarship opportunities to help you focus on your research and enjoy a balanced life.
Scholarships for Master's and Ph.D. programs are available through several competitive programs, each with its own application deadline.
To be considered for all types of scholarship opportunities, prospective students are strongly encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible (see our application deadlines).
